In this fine morning of March 7, 2006, after 3 years of intense work which thaught me too much about the sword world, I am pleased to announce what the banner states.

click on the banner for further information.

You are most welcome to enquire. Sometimes there will never be inconvenient questions. Just inconvenient answers that will remain unanswered

But whatever I can reply I will, with great pleasure.
I will not become increasingly absorbed by work which will be in a crescendo. However I will honor all my commitments.

Okay, I passed up the catalogue for Masters Of Fire, AC, but
I think you're gonna have to put my name on one of these
this time, when it's ready and available and I WILL get the
$$$ into your ( or someone's ! ) gentlemanly mits ! B-)

Boy, are you gonna be busy ! Don't you ever get sworded out ?
( or, worn out, that is ) ?

Hi Antonio,

Surely you must be tired of all these sword exhibits! Care to adopt a 47 year old male from Philadelphia to come and help you with these? :D

Anyway, seems like you are very busy putting together another awesome exhibit. I, for one, will be looking for the opening.

Thanks for sharing,

Jeff 8)

Hi Jeff, :)

To tell you the truth, I am tired of some backstabbing that occurred sometime ago. But it missed the target because evil always lives a readable track ;)

Other than that, so long as I don't have to carry this kind and generous friend on my lap  you're up for adoption and help ;)
Which brings me to the following question: aren't you tired of helping enough already ;) :hump:

I'm about to get very busy as soon as all the puzzle pieces arrive.

Thank you my friend. I hope this exhibition may result in a book that, in some areas will be considered by some circles to be the reference book.

Thank you for your kind words

Hi Antonio,

You know I was kidding about the adoption? :o Beth would kill me if I left. :P Who else would do the cooking around here? :D

No, seriously, I would love to see some of the historical pieces you'll have on display from the countries listed above.

Jeff

Ooops, Matthew,

I missed your post
This one is gonna be something Heavyweight and we're trying to figure if we can have an English only Edition. It is not easy as either it is sold before printing or it will not be done at all.

In due time, I hope to be able to provide more answers. This is a huge thing, believe me. Yup I'm going to be very busy and possible irascible in about two weeks time (I wish it would be sooner for work's sake.)

If I get sworded out? Boy, I counted the years, I begun in 1976 so its 30 years and a lot of planning experience, I might say.
The main trick if I may call it like this, is that if each country does its own work, the weight to lift is quite bearable

Wish me luck though

Hi Jeff,

Of course I knew you were kidding

Actually I think this place does deserve a visit. The thing is how to get the best airfare. I like Korean Air they have the prettiest ladies on board :D
Oh be sure to bring Beth so they are outshined ;)

The Sintra Hotel is very affordable

It used to cost around $50 to $60 a night

Antonio, I absolutely love the banner! Very nice work!

If I was able to afford and arrange a big trip like that + lodging, and was able to take some days off in that period, I would definately be interested in attending. Of course, If I would ever arrive to begin with. I tend to get completely lost and confused in great airports, and it gets worse if my destination is far away.

:D

I wish you well with your exhibition.

Tim.

Hi Tim :)

This is a temporary banner. We will be having posters and its already designed on my mind. Just have to wait for taking pictures of more than 200 edged weapons... :P
Oh, no worries with great airports :D If they are confusing it isn't because of the mileage
Thank you very much for your good wishes. ;)

*sigh* what wouldn't I give to be able to travel over there and see the exhibition :(

I look forward to seeing what can be seen online and on the catalogue of course.

I also imagine it was terrible having to do all this research ei Antonio? it is a terrible thing but someone has to do it ;) :D

Hi Hÿllyn,
Its a busy season, and it is actually midnight, but remember that I always honor my word, even if I don't answer as I would like.

Nope, it wasn't terrible because I did not do the research. I would never consider myself a specialist without a minimum of 10 years of study. I just ended up making the right choices. But all in due time :)

All I can say is that reality transcends fantasy.

Very best

It looks as if you have another excellent exhibit in the works Antonio.

The study of weapons, be it as an art form or in an historical context, has become very non-politically correct here in western cultures. Consequently, we don't see many events like this here. It's nice to see them happening in other places, and being carried off with such good taste.

There seems to be a misunderstanding Antonio and it might be due to the jokingly nature of my post.

At no time I was implying a doubt over the honorability of your word. I was merely joking with how envious it makes one feel to not be involved in closer instances with the process of putting these exhibitions together. it just tickles those dreams of childhood when one wanted to be a field researcher or archaeologist.

I look forward to seeing what you have helped to prepare Antonio and I celebrate your passion and dedication towards these subjects

Good morning Hÿllyn

No misunderstandings
I was in another tuning as I know of some people who describe themselves as world specialists with as much empirical studies as 4~5 years, so I was not really answering you, but more like thinking aloud.
;)

Well, I wish time was more, but it is always like this. Let's give time, time.

All good then.

Obviously one is tempted to ask questions but as you said some might not be answered. However is the exhibition going to cover the processes of smelting in diferent parts of Asia? it would be refreshing to see other methods different to the Tatara and as I understand it the Chinese had pretty elaborate methods of smelting iron and others at a pretty early stage, thing is I have never heard any description of the process.
